range planning and strive to maintain a high caliber of operations
while minimizing cost and conserving resources to the best extent
possible. He or she shall present budget and other Board of Directors'
recommendations to the members as well as any recommendations for
change to these By-Laws. He or she shall be responsible for
negotiations of policies and issues with the St. Mary's County
Government. At the spring meeting each year, the President shall
appoint the following Standing Committees:
1. Audit Committee
2. Budget Committee
3. Nominating Committee
If any Association business is found to have been conducted in
conflict with the strictures of these By-Laws, it is the President's
duty to brief this fact at the spring or fall meeting of the
Association.
The President shall further see that the orders and resolutions of the
Board are carried out; shall sign all leases, mortgages, deeds,
contracts, notes, and other written instruments and shall co-sign all
checks and promissory notes, and shall have all the general powers and
duties which are usually vested in the office of President of a
corporation.
(B) The VICE-PRESIDENT shall, in the absence of the President,
preside at all meetings; and shall serve as coordinator for any
committees other than the audit committee. He or she shall maintain a
list and status of all special committees and recommend to the Board
and submit for approval to the President, chairpersons for special
