2020 Spring Newsletter
                                                       Safety Notices

Golf Carts, Go Carts, Dirt Bikes and ATVs: we’ve all seen golf carts putting around and, most of the time, they are
operated safely. However, this hasn’t always been the case. Kids driving a vehicle not authorized for use on public
roads, puts the owners of the vehicle at risk legally and financially. PLEASE, if you own a cart or ATV, help us avoid
terrible accidents and tell your kids to play it safe! Teach them the rules of the road; stop signs mean STOP, look
before you pull out onto a road, stay in your lane, and do not dart across lanes. Dirt Bikes and ATV's are not
permitted on community property and waterfront area.

Driving thru Stop Signs and Speeding: We have had several reports of speeding vehicles and resulting “close
calls”. This time of year, there are lots of kids and dogs and walkers in the streets in your neighborhood. PLEASE
slow down and STOP at STOP Signs as you enter and drive through the Shores!

                                                             HATE LITTER???

We need your help! Be part of the solution!
                                                                                nd
Get your cardio in, we are scheduling Saturday May 2 to walk and clean up Jones Wharf Rd.
It usually only takes 2-3 hours. Meet 10 AM at the Pool House.

Cars parked on the street create a safety hazard for children riding bikes and walkers. Parking on the streets block
a lane and prevents good visibility.

Children should be closely monitored at the waterfront as the currents are very fast and water is deep adjacent to
        the sea wall.

Please be considerate of your neighbors, the St Mary's County Residential Maximum Noise Level from 10:00 pm
to 7:00 am is 55 dB.

Dogs: Dogs are required to be on a leash. It’s OK if you are exercising your dog at
waterfront, but please make sure other people are not there. Please respect walking paths and
yards by removing your dog's poop.

We can continue to maintain a clean, healthy environment in Hollywood Shores by working together! Join in
