                 Agenda April 17 , 2021, 10 AM

Budget Committee Report – The purpose of this committee is to prepare a new budget for the following
year, in time for presentation at the spring meeting.

Beach/Erosion/Waterways Committee Report – We have had some good volunteer efforts in recent
years to build the well ring terrace that is now in place to preserve the access road to the beach. We also
continue to add rock/concrete along the waterfront and are getting plants and flower gardens started.
There is an ongoing monumental problem of sedimentation closing the entrance to the creek. The
Committee requested and received DNR involvement with a lot of planning and recommendations done
for free, but any remedial action, such as dredging, can only be done at enormous cost.

Landscape Committee – We have made some effort to clear trees near gate and add shrubs and plants to
the pool and beach areas, but this work needs more participation. Possibly, in addition to joint work
activity, different people could take on a small selected area to improve and maintain as a “Work for
            Credit” project.

Maintenance Committee – We continue to address repairs needed on the many aging systems and
structures associated with our pool and waterfront. As always, we are de-winterizing all pool systems and
checking pump and chemical feeder operations prior to opening the pool.

Playground Committee Report – We hope to install a basketball court near pool but simply can’t afford it
            now.

Pool Operating Committee –This committee is responsible for monitoring operations (lifeguards,
cleanliness, etc.) as well as editing/updating pool rules and lifeguard documents as required. We are in
great shape this year as we have many returning Lifeguards and pool manager.

Website Committee – Our site hosts pool party reservation form, pool regulations, By-Laws, lifeguard
application form, board member info, and a “contact us” link to email questions and concerns. We have a
Youth Portal on the website – hollywoodshores.net/youth. For questions or concerns please contact John
            Wilson (301) 373.3560 – jsfcw@yahoo.com

Security Committee – This committee is active in improving community safety and security.

Jones Wharf Cleanup Committee – Each Spring this committee leads a group of volunteers to walk from
Hollywood Shore along the entire length of Jones Wharf to pick up trash. Please join in to help keep our
            roads litter free!
