        Agenda October 15 , 2022, 10AM

Budget Committee Report – The purpose of this committee is to prepare a new budget for the following year, in time
for presentation at the spring meeting.

Beach/Erosion/Waterways Committee Report – A lot of work has gone into improving the waterfront and securing
the river edge from erosion. Please help keep it tidy and report any problems. Help is always needed for grass
cutting. If you use the Kayak ramp please bring a leaf rake and assist in keeping the area clean of debris. The
waterfront committee needs additional members that can assist with a planning effort to dredge the creek inlet. A
permit request has been filed with the State Dept of Environment. If remedial action is not taken the creek entrance
can be expected to be closed to boating. That would adversely affect everyone in Hollywood Shores. Losing the
creek and utility of the waterfront would reduce all property values within the community. Email
cstool20636@gmail.com or call 240-298-8966 if you would like to join the committee.

Landscape Committee – Help is needed to improve and weed the planted area outside of the sliding gate. Thanks to
Krista Hunt’s son Joe (now moved away) who did the lion's share of this work in the past. Thanks to Dollartons who
have kept up the garden area near the Cousino plaque and Donna Diana for garden work. Email
cajean47@hotmail.com or call 240-298-6072 if you would like to help with the gardening landscape.

Maintenance Committee – We continue to address repairs needed on the many aging systems and structures
associated with our pool and waterfront.

Playground Committee Report – We hope to install a basketball court near pool but simply can’t afford it now.

Pool Operating Committee –This committee is responsible for monitoring operations (lifeguards, cleanliness, etc.)
as well as editing/updating pool rules and lifeguard documents as required.

Website Committee – Our site hosts pool party reservation form, pool regulations, By-Laws, lifeguard application
form, board member info, and a “contact us” link to email questions and concerns. For questions or concerns please
            contact John Wilson (301) 373.3560 – jsfcw@yahoo.com

Security Committee – This committee is active in improving community safety and security.

Jones Wharf Road Clean Up Committee - We need your help! Be part of the solution! Get your cardio in,
                                                  nd
we are scheduling Saturday, October 22 to walk and clean up Jones Wharf Road. It usually only takes 2-3
hours. Meet at 10 AM at the Pool House. Contact Pam LeFave (301) 904-5022 or pamlefa@gmail.com to

Facebook: Our community Facebook page is a great place to share info with neighbors. We can set up groups to
focus on services, activities or committees. We currently have a Waterfront Committee group and more can be added.
